I’ve got a friend who goes to Fight Club but their schedule is kinda whack; I’m looking for something that might offer more times for classes and thus more flexibility (weekends would be nice).

But I also want to go to a legit school; I won’t compromise too much on quality for convenience’s sake. What other places are here?

Edit: The comment I replied to said something like:

>I was going to suggest Centerfold until I noticed the extra “J”

Not sure why they deleted it lol; I thought it was funny

Springfield bjj is the best jiu-jitsu in Springfield. I've been there 10 years. We clean up at all the agfs. We have world champs, pans Champs, and consistent instruction from high level people. We also routinely host seminars with Caio, Yuri, wiltse, and all kinds of other high level jiu jitsu guys. If you wanna do some punchy stuff, fight club, but if you want to get good at specifically jiu jiu-jitsu, its the best spot

I’ve been training at Kokoro for 7 months or so. They have an open mat session on Saturday, but no “classes” on the weekend. They do offer various daily and evening class times throughout the week. Diverse gym culture w quality instructors. I’ve really enjoyed my time training there thus far. GL!

I’ve not heard of this place, thanks for the recommendation! I’ll look into it. Any words of wisdom for my first time at the gym? Anything I should know?

Honestly.. Just show up and be yourself. The instructors and other students will make you feel welcome. It’s a relatively relaxed environment but they take the quality of their training seriously. Good people here that care about what they’re doing and it shows.
