Does anyone know when starlink will be opening up to the area more?

Im stuck out in the boonies nearby and its about my only option aside from centurylink but says it isnt available yet. I know from past posts that some people already have it and they say the service is decent.

What does everyone think of the “traffic calming” it personally doesn’t bother me but I also don’t have to drive through a neighborhood that has one. Curious on people’s thoughts.

I heard there were death threats to public works people for them being installed...

I like them and I wish there were some on my street. I believe the data shows they work (people generally slow down for chicanes and other traffic calming measures).

They're not going to stop someone that already treats the road like a race track though.

According to the news this morning, in the Parkcrest neighborhood they noticed a nearly 50% drop in the amount of vehicles speeding. Going from 51% down to 26%. The data definitely shows they work, it's just people's stubbornness to change or think safely.

Death threats? My goodness! No need for that. Have you heard of any word if they are going to be installing more? Cousin lives on a busy road and she does not allow her daughter to play in the front yard. People treat her road like they are trying out for the new fast and furious.

Martin Brundle narrates in my mind when I drive through the one on Westview. "He doesn't even think about the brakes, wasting no time through the chicane! Let's see if he can keep up this pace."

Edit: Apparently it's necessary to clarify that this was a joke, and that I don't "race" through these. The truth is I find them annoying to drive through, but I also recognize their necessity having lived on a street that could desperately use measures like this.

dont drive personally but i feel as though it would be pretty annoying to drive through with all of the turns and while it does slow down people it just seems like an accident waiting to happen

The fact that traffic tells you they are bypassing an intersection tells you there is an issue. I’m on a road where people cut through to avoid a major intersection light. The govt here is responsive but not big enough to foresee future issues and deal with them in planning. That’s why Parkcrest becomes an issue.
