Dan Conner.
Dan is by far one of free best but anyone
Sandy was awesome. I haven't watched in a while but the only blemish I could think of was when his former love interest shows up (she was on the run) and he lies to and neglects kiki
Sandy would be my number 2 behind Keith Mars.
Compared to Julie Cooper, yes he does
A true mensch.
Jonathan Kent From Smallville is better imo.
Red from that 70's show.
Yoga-lates.
Sandy yes but he like kinda cheats on his wife? I think? It’s been a while. Does his wife cheat first? I can’t remember.
Can you believe that OC and One Tree Hill turn 20 this year? Goddamn...
I smeared it for ya
Mmmmm whatcha sayyyy
Bandit Heeler has entered the chat.
Doesn’t physically cheat on her, but definitely neglects her over the guise of legally helping clear his ex lovers name which contributes to his wife’s start of alcohol abuse.
Yes. Julie never was a good dad.
Kurt's dad from Glee was amazing. Great dad.
Lucky's Dad is in the mix, and he's playing by Lucky's Dad's Rules!
This isn’t the 80s, Pat!
Agreed. I started watching The OC back in day because my room mate had a crush on Ryan…
But man, that show was pretty legit, and Sandy was a GREAT dad.
He's such a good dad! The Ryan/Sandy moments are always so nicely done and underplayed.
Sandy: How was home? Ryan: You tell me, I was in Chino heart explodes
He shouldn't have kicked David out.
He’s just always going for the joke but only if it’s in service of the plot and I just love that . And keeping it light most of the time makes it so much better when sandy gets serious. Like when he helps people out using the law some of his monologues to express how he just bested someone are so damn good.
I loved when he punched Ryan's biological father
Just so damn good!
Good hunour, supportive of both boys no matter what, anti-capitalist most of the time and the most powerful eyebrows in network TV history.
What’s not to love?
Sandy is THE best dad!!!
No need to apologise, you're in The O.C fandom now!
It's still my favourite TV show ever, currently rewatching it with one of my best friends and it's still great! The writing and comedy are brilliant.
Also, for those who may not know, there's a podcast called Welcome To The O.C, bitches where Rachel (Summer) and Melinda (Julie) rewatch all the episodes, it's really really good!! You can find it on YouTube too. :)
and the aftermath (kiki and the booze) dragged on for a loooong time.
Don't call it that.
We grew sorghum!
Julie came around at the end. She has one of the best evolutions throughout the series.
Kirsten was going to end up in trouble whether the Sandy/Rebecca thing happened or not. I’m sure that didn’t help though.
He definitely neglects her while not physically cheating. Neither of them cheat but both have chances to. Sandy’s was a tough one because he never got closure with Rebecca. Doesn’t excuse his behavior but it’s realistic.
Number 2 for me as well but behind Coach Eric Taylor.
Yeah the whole Rachel (?) situation wasn't great for him, the other 95% he was a fantastic dad
The wife is rewatching OTH right now and holy shit it is bad.
Yep it definitely wasn’t the root cause, which is why I said contributed. I think if we needed to find a root cause for her alcoholism it would be Caleb marrying Julie Cooper Nickel 😂
And also the Newpsies were a head ache as well.
His secret to being a good dad are his powerful eyebrows
Kiki and the Booze would make a great band name.
*schmeared
The pilot episode had a fun soundtrack. That should be the first and last episode you watch.
Okay thank you. I remember when I finished the show Sandy was my favorite.
Archie Bunker.
Came here for this, he definitely deserves to be in the top 3
what is the O.C.?
Well, I mean, Peter Gallagher just seems amazing in everything he’s in. I feel like he was born to be a tv dad actor

Eric Taylor will always be #1 in my (full) heart. Sandy is a close second
The Chino filter they use on that show cracks me up, as someone who lives close by. They make it look so dark and gritty.

I'm guessing the whole "will walk through fire for daughter" is why Keith is #1?
A TV show. It was on Fox awhile ago. It has great music and some good drama
Yes he was great
He’s the free space on Best TV Dad Bingo
They are so majestic

Never too late to join the group lol.
Sandy was rational, kind, thoughtful and always looked out for Seth and Ryan. Dude is a national treasure
