Yeah, but the machines are clunky. No one EVER goes outside in space?

I mean there's the time that a clone trooper was blown out into space when his gun turret blew up. Also at least one TIE Fighter pilot did the same thing.

Problem is they didn't get to come back inside.

Probably just a way to save money. They don't have to build spacesuit costumes or simulate microgravity.
