I was intrigued enough to finish it in one sitting. It’s based on a true story though that wasn’t solved, so don’t expect a satisfying ending. My sister called it “Red Herring The Show”. Great cast though.

That was my reaction as well. He introduces so many plot elements and almost all of them are completely unnecessary and/or irrelevant. It's like he's never heard of Chekhov's gun.
