I love Lost from beginning to end but I skip Stranger in a Strange Land on rewatches

Like how did that even get greenlit on a conceptual level. An episode about the origin of... Jack's tattoos. I do not think you could have found a single fan that gave even the tiniest of shits.

Feel like this episode was made to force ABC to allow Lindelof & Cuse to end this show

They were in negotiations with ABC for an end date, so a lot of the middle of S3 is just treading water. They got their end date, and the back part of S3 was really strong for it.

Every Lost fan immediately points to 2 episodes being the absolute worse and no one disagrees. The one you mentioned and the Nikki and Paulo episode, Expose.

Lost fans don't hate Expose. They hate how Nikki and Paolo were parachuted into the season in general.

Expose is actually a great episode: fun and campy (and just the right amount of cruelty, considering the negative reaction to Nikki & Paolo) and a perfect eject button for two characters that simply weren't working on the show.

I loved Expose.

"Nikki and Paolo. I guess we didn't know you very well. And it appears you killed each other for Diamonds."

Not only do I love expose but I love Nikki and Paolo

Yeah, for the record: In retrospect, I think it’s easy to love Nikki and Paolo when you understand that their introduction is leading to a fun, dark-comedy murder send-off instead of more overwrought mythology/mystery box stuff. (Which I also love, but Lost had enough of that already.)

I LOVE Exposé on rewatches. It's so fun. When it aired though? Absolutely pissed me off.

Definitely not. Fire and Water is the one Lost Fans Point to, not Exposé.
