So over the festive period I finally caught up on The Boy, The Mole, The Fox and The Horse. Having never read the book I didn’t know what to expect. I had seen trailers and thought the animation style was beautiful so I was intrigued. I was not expecting to be left in floods of tears at the end of it. What a beautifully profound piece of television. Stunningly animated with a beautiful message. The voice actors suited the parts perfectly. I especially loved Gabriel Byrne as the horse.

My wife has loved the book since she first read it and was thrilled when she found out it was going to be animated. We watched it Sunday morning and were both very impressed. I called it entry level therapy lol. Beautiful animation and great lessons.
Only downside: it made me want cake and we didn't have any.
