I watched Friends in high school and college, and then in my early 20s I started liking Seinfeld more. I feel like even though Seinfeld is such a 90s show and has so many 90s pop culture references, it's aged better than Friends, though I can't pinpoint why exactly.
I think that even though the main 4 of Seinfeld are seen as self-absorbed assholes, they come off as nicer to each other than the characters in Friends, who are actually quite mean to each other.
