I FINALLY finished Andor and I can say without a doubt in my mind that I disagree with everyone who thinks this show is a masterpiece

It was so boring… it took so much effort to finish each episode. I wanted to like it so much. I tried. But it just slogged on and on.

I want to start by saying I love Star Wars. The only other SW project I disliked was the last jedi (which I view as the worst movie in the franchise) but I always give each project a try.

Then Andor came out. I watched the first 5 episodes as their aired and was bored every week to the point I would fall asleep and have to rewind the episode to make sure I didn’t miss anything and thought “ok I’ll wait until it’s over to watch the whole thing”

So I waited. It ended. It was hailed as one of the best Star Wars projects and shows of the year… and I restarted from the beginning. Watching this show was like pulling teeth for me. It was so slow. It was so boring. It didn’t have anything to keep me engaged enough to be dying to click next episode after one ended

Now I will also say some episodes/storylines I loved. The prison break plot line I think was the best in the series and Serkis brought some fantastic acting to his character and the >!I can’t swim!< reveal really got to me emotionally.

The funeral march was another scene that I thought was beautifully done and memorable

But the multiple episodes dedicated to Andor and the forest crew leading up to their heist was so dull and could have been condensed into something a little more brief. The Mon Mothma plot, the actress killed it btw, was also drawn out. I felt like nothing actually happened.

Andor was the last show I watch in 2022 and it really did not resonate with me. I would give it a 5/10 if I was scoring it. I know I am in the minority of this, but I wanted to share my opinion as the ending was fresh on my mind.
