About 6 years ago when my eldest was almost 1, I threw a big wet nappy down the stairs for my partner to catch and then throw in the bin but it just exploded into a million of those little nappy crystals full of piss in his hand, and therefore all over the 1 metre² at the bottom of the stairs.
