If you’re allergic to cashews, also watch out for pistachios! I’m allergic to both, and they’re the only nuts that trigger my allergy. I learned of the cashew one when I was like 5, but had no idea of the pistachio until a lot later. I know someone else with the cashew/pistachio allergy. I’ve had my allergy doc say they’re not quite sure why it’s just those two nuts.

Something else I’ve learned: some pestos will have cashews subbed in for the pine nuts so watch out for that too!

Usually Benadryl stops the reaction if I get some in me fast enough. Def get an epipen script from your doctor if you’re able to, and carry it everywhere. As soon as you feel your airway constricting, let that thing swang.
