I guess I feel like the FU is me stupidly suggesting something that caused conflict that affected everyone. My role in the family is supposed to be sort of peacemaker/support, not agent of chaos lol

Listen, your sister's drama is not a conflict created by you. You liked something and wanted to bond with your family over the same thing. That is wholesome and there's nothing wrong with that. It's not up to you to keep your sister's personality in check
