As she drove around a car park, she lightly bumped another vehicle making the airbag inflate, sending metal pieces at such tremendous force that one hit the teen’s neck slicing open her carotid artery. If you're in the US, you can look up your car by VIN or Year/Make/Model: https://www.nhtsa.gov/recalls

Yeah it should be readily available online. Also you can call a dealership with your VIN and they'll tell you if your TSB was ever completed or not.
