My folks have always called this bird a goby, and they are supposedly so friendly they'll happily eat out of your hand. Great pic!

This. As a hiker I've run into them on the trail. They linger at mountain summits where people stop for snacks. The birds will often snatch trail mix or your sandwich whether you offer it to them or not, they're bold and are colloquially known as camp robbers. Like blue jays, they stash food under tree bark for eating later.

Yes Mollies Bog on 4 Mile Square Rd part of Silvio Conte is where I see the Canada Jays or Gray Jay's. This where the photo was taken.
