I find it interesting they're trying to pass this while many Vermonters still don't have access to electricity or broadband. Shouldn't we concentrate on that before creating more costs for the lowest income Vermonters who would most likely will not be able to come up with the money or get a loan to fund energy upgrades?
Perhaps a change easement laws for utilities so neighbors can't deny their fellow citizens access to electricity? This would be a great place to start... How can you create a law when all of your constituents don't have access to electricity in the first place to convert to "clean energy"?
