I'm curious:

We drove to Boston last night and the amount of traffic heading up 89 and 93 to beat the snow for skiing was nuts. We were at the toll area around dark and it was just solid cars but moving. I was watching the accidents on google maps happening going northbound for a couple hours. I got fuel at the rest area on 93 and watched a traffic backup from an accident in real time head back south. We even changed our route a couple times due to accidents near the cities in NH and MA. We drive to NYC and Boston a couple times a month and haven't ever seen that amount of sustained traffic. Never even on holidays around the region. It was a bit insane with the sheer amount of cars heading north. We left near Burlington at 4:00 and it started getting gradually busier near Montpelier. Honestly, the last time I saw that much traffic moving in every lane for that amount of time was LA or Phoenix on holidays or folks running from a hurricane at the last minute. It petered out quickly after we got a late dinner in Lawrence MA.

Bolton was busy but not insane. snow was great, parking manageable, roads were fine.

Stowe was insane in the am. Traffic backed up to Weeks Hill and cars off the road.

Smuggs was fine, sorta busy, but the same as any good weekend. Roads and parking were no issue. The snow was the best I’ve seen all season. I was out in Colorado last week and yesterday was just as good if not better here in N. Vermont.

There isn't a room available between Rutland and Quechee.

The road up to Jay was a scene out of the Walking Dead. It was epic on the mountain tho. I didn’t have any problems but so many people did - it was a little funny.

The fact that people actually travel in snowstorms to ski just comes off as irresponsible imho. Skiing is not a vital function unlike food and shelter during a snowstorm.

And a snowstorm isn’t something that requires shutdown of non vital functions
