So I'm a single, middle-aged black male in the Philly area, being recruited hard for a position at Rutland Regional Medical Center. The recruiter makes Rutland sound like paradise and says I should REALLY stay open to the conversation of relocating. I'm open but also a cynical realist. How would living in Rutland, VT be for a city slicker POC like me? Never been to VT, or to much of New England. EDITED TO ADD: City life is not a must (raised in Philly, now in the burbs), but some appeal besides the woods would be cool. Would also be looking to live somewhere liveable for a professional middle-class single person, so if not Rutland, somewhere close.
