Seriously can people just remove them? I ask because I am tempted to do so but don’t want to break some law I don’t know about

You can remove signs in the right of way, at least according to my town administrator.

Within like 17 feet from the road is right of way so you can remove all of the ones in this picture

Look up the rules for placing campaign signs. If it breaks any of them you can remove them.
