I understand the plot of Wednesday, and enjoyed it, thanks for explaining the fiction part. These two facts about actual Jericho made me question the above:
The Browns were the first European family to settle in Jericho, in 1774, building a cabin near the Browns River.[6] https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jericho,_Vermont
It seemed like they could have used a town with a stronger pilgrim connection. Also, it was weird they changed the est. date. But, it's not like most people know much about VT anyways, just seemed like a weird town to pick.
