I’m not positive, but I think that water you see is not making power. The water passing through the turbines comes out underneath the waterline. What you see here is excess water being released from the reservoir, probably because of all the rain and snowmelt we’ve had lately. If you can get up to see this release, it’s pretty awesome!

I am currently under the assumption that it was making power, mostly because that spout of water was coming out of a rather large building coming out of the dam, with a good amount of power lines coming out of that

Thing is, water rarely squirts out like that. Like I said, I’m not sure.

Yea, you can drive all the way up to it, sometimes people swim in the water there when the dam isnt going

Supposedly my dad once drove up the dam when it wasn’t flowing….so I’d say so.
