Hey all,

Does anyone know if gift wrapping is a thing in any part of Vermont? I would assume Chittenden, like in the Burlington area, but I live in Lamoille. I've got a small business that I had in Florida, but I'd like to know if that's worth pursuing here, even if it's a drive to get somewhere interested. Or if any stores would want to partner up!

When I was a kid, I remember there being a kiosk like that at the University Mall. It seemed magical. Edit: typo

Ah I wish I was established enough to set up in a mall, especially University since it's had so much traffic. But I'll keep it in mind!

I was just reading a book for review where the main character took over her mom's gift-wrapping shop. Year-round gift-wrapping services for individuals and corporations. The entire time, I was sitting here with a mound of presents that need wrapping and no interest in doing it.

There used to be several non-profits that would set up gift-wrapping stations for the holiday season. In the right location, I would gladly pay someone else to wrap my gifts, and I'd be even happier if the charity gift-wrapping services returned, but I searched and couldn't find anyone doing it this year.

Honestly it's such a dream position, so I hope she took it over for the joy of it. 😊

Ah that's a shame, I'm surprised it's dwindled. This might be forward, but let me know if you'd be interested in my services through PM! I can send examples, of course.

I would try to partner with a local store or stores. Once Upon a Toy in Stowe has a gift wrapping service. The owner's daughter who works there was adopted as a child from Ukraine and wraps gifts in exchange for donations a Ukranian charity.

Ah, that's very noble of her. Out of respect for that, I'll probably avoid branching out in Stowe unless they don't do gifts from outside their store. But I have been trying to partner in town; thank you!
