Simon Pearce seems too busy/touristy for a romantic moment though. Not excited about a proposal in a restaurant. Icky.

Willoughby is about an hour’s drive from Hardwick but is pretty. In winter the lake might remind you of a lake or an open field, if frozen. I don’t remember any dining there.

There is The Gap by Willoughby for food. They always have a few nice weekly specials that they detail on their Facebook page.
