If you’re starting with $1000 you’ll be subject to PDT for the next $24,000 unless you’re holding positions overnight. My moneys on the under.

You don’t have to worry about PDT if you have a cash account, or over 25k, but I’ll be using the cash account I guess

Sure, but you’re still limited to whatever cash settlement status you’re stuck with. Which is effectively a form of PDT.
