It’s always interesting when there are like two days of gloom or two days of a chill and people start saying things like “It’s always gloomy ans cold here!!”

This area is one of the sunniest and warmest I’ve lived in, even during the winter. As for the people, maybe you’re just around the wrong crowd. Most people seem to be relatively happy here.

People will complain about whatever they can and blame their mood on anything but their interpretation of what is around them

Good point. Much of suffering is self-created, and most of the time, individuals have the ability to transform themselves and the negative thoughts they may have about situations occurring within their life. Depression adds a whole new level of complexity, however.

I’m from Chicago where it is generally 10+ degrees colder than DC year-round and the sun disappears for like 5 months straight in winter. Seasonal depression there is real. Today’s weather sucks but it’s one day and mild. I’ll gladly take 40s in January
