Second dans cafe
Adams Morgan is packed with the perfect date. Head to pizza mart for an authentic Italian dinner, and Dans Cafe for cocktails and music.
Pro tip: Celebrate the weekend before or after.
Smaller crowds, often better food (less rushed), and cheaper flowers.
This is good advice. Valentine's Day is nice but restos use it as an excuse to rip people big time.
So many options. What is meant by “not too pricey”? Suggest giving a budget. And preferences on location (DC proper, MD, VA), ambiance, and fare? For instance, are you okay eating butter chicken on a date?

Def need a price range.
But let me let you dream a little for a couple mid price places -
Iron gate in DuPont. Exquisite setting for a date let alone valentines. Around $120-150 for a couple.
Red Hen in Bloomingdale - just a cute rustic spot. Around $100-$120 for a couple depending on wine
Lupo Verde is Logan is quite cute IMO. Take your date for a glass of wine and a charcuterie would run you about $60 though.
Seven reasons
My fiancé have been doing this for years. It’s the way to go! Also, Grand Cru Wine Bar in Arlington has probably been our favorite DMV Valentine’s Day dinner so far in terms of restaurants that survived the pandemic.
Brasserie Liberte in Georgetown!
