In 1934, Barq and a former employee, who moved to New Orleans, agreed to each distribute their own version of the root beer, with the New Orleans version having a red label and the Biloxi version having a blue one. by jdward01

Imagine being in prison for 3 years and the scanner the office staff use randomly decides to turn your sentence into 33 years.

I don't know why some people are still pretending like monopolies have ever worked to the benefit of consumers. Microsoft is a significant market player as the manufacturer of one of three video game consoles still being made and the owner of the predominant Operating System that is used by most consumers on their computers. Microsoft needs to be broken up not given even more shit to hold over consumers. Almost all tech companies need to be broken up at this point.

Reply to comment by allredidit in Microsoft's Windows Subsystem for Linux just hit a major milestone by CrankyBear
It might be confusing because the term "subsystem" isn't something people are familiar with. On Windows NT (Windows' kernel) a subsystem is a set of APIs and an environment that software can run under. On Windows you typically use Win32, Win64, or WinRT but NT is not limited to those, it can support basically any software if the environment is written for it. In the past NT also supported OS/2 and it even had an entirely different *nix subsystem called Interix. WSL is basically the replacement for Interix because it was extremely obsolete and was barely used at all.

It has never been advertised as a way to protect you from tracking, you can still be tracked as long as the browser window is open. It's basically the equivalent of clearing your cookies, cache, and history when you close your browser. It's basically a porn mode, so a nosy person using your computer can't just dig through your browser history.
