There are never any consequences for those people, and because of that, convictions of innocent people will continue to happen.

And the prosecutor's office will never admit they were wrong even though the people involved in the original conviction have likely moved on to other jobs. Those prosecutors are absolute scum. And it's not even the first post about a prosecutor's office that pushed to convict innocent people. There's another post about a dirty cop who planted evidence on over 100 people and the prosecutor's office protected him for years until one new prosecutor decided that they didn't want to convict innocent people.
All they care about is getting convictions, not justice.

While I think it is important to support small businesses, that is reserved for ethical small businesses. I don’t feel the same way about businesses that have numerous reviews dating back 8 years (found another) saying that they fleece their customers and are very opaque about pricing.
ADarwinAward t1_j8jinhq wrote
Wow the reviews really are awful. A below 4.0 rating is a death sentence for most small businesses that aren’t franchises. They have awful reviews dating back to at least 6 years ago, I wonder how they’ve managed to keep it going.

I lived in Cambridge for 6 years without a car, it’s absolutely doable. I have lived in several spots in Cambridge and also in Arlington.
I’d say the closer you are to the city, the easier your commute is to most doctors offices and activities. In my experience, North Cambridge was like a suburb, very quiet, everyone seemed to have a car.

It is doable of OP is willing to live in a less than stellar place with many roommates. Source: I lived in dumps with many roommates in some of the places listed while in grad school.
Were these places up to code? Absolutely not.

Your budget is low but I was able to make the high end of that work fairly recently. Though rent has gone up quite a bit even in the past 2 years.
If you are willing to live in a place that’s a bit of a dump with 3 or more roommates (not including yourself), you should be able to find something. But realistically you can’t write off Facebook and Craigslist if you don’t have friends with an open room.
Every accommodation I found when I was living in that area was through friends. And at that price expect some issues with the place…and by issues I mean blatant code violations. I never lived in a nice place but it was good enough for college and grad school.

Unless we find a traversable wormhole near earth that leads near a black hole, there aren’t any close enough for someone to get sucked in. The closest black hole we know of is 1600 light years away.

You can set up gas and electric with eversource online without a phone call, if the landlord gives you the account numbers for both gas an electric.
This is how I’ve done it at every apartment I’ve lived in.
You might be able to setup internet access with a phone call as well, they have apps that walk you through setup, though they can be finicky at times.

They also say they tried a less lethal option first. They shot him with a rubber bullet but that didn’t stop him.
Rubber bullets are frequently called non-lethal but they can be lethal in rare cases when they hit someone in the head.

I imagine you’ll find out at least 24 hours in advance, but I’m not sure. I once watched Air Force One land in LAX and we had a fairly good idea of the timing, so it can’t be at the last possible minute that everyone finds out.

As someone else said, we're talking about high schools, not all public schools K-12. The reason this is focused on high schoolers is that teenagers have a natural shift in their circadian rhythm. Kindergarteners are not teenagers and that's why OP didn't include elementary schools. The discussion around shifting to later start times is mostly focused on high schools and in some cases middle schools.
