I know I’m going to sound like a therapist right now.. but. If I didn’t take the time to address my issues with stuff that happened with me. Even these little talks about feeling scared.. they’ll help you out with it in the long run. I know having a gun in your face blows, I know also having a gun on your hip blows too.. I know you carry and I know that having that gun can give some people false confidence. Take the solace in the fact that, not only did you stand up for yourself, you didn’t let the anger or fear run you into taking the persons life nor did it make you think you were impervious to damage and cause you to lose your own trying to defend yourself. So you hit the hat trick. You got 3 perfects in handling a situation and it worked out. You stood up for yourself, you didn’t let a personal weapon get you or another person killed, and you came out on top. You also admit it made you feel weak, that’s a step some can’t take. Just don’t beat yourself up over it.

Always be proud. You stood up for yourself. That’s something strong you’ll give to your kid,wether you know it or not.

Listen I’m not saying try it again… fuck please don’t. But I’m just saying I’d have handled it the same way, because if I had a kid to get back to… I’m going out either trying for the gun or being a smart ass. But psychological effect wise, most people with guns aren’t expecting to get flak… so they get scared.

Scared+Guns= Bad Times. But again DONT DO THAT AGAIN!!! As a human to another human I have to say don’t because I want you to stay safe… as a human to another human I also have to say “You got balls and I respect that” and I’m glad you’re good.

Edit. I also have to add the crying scheme doesn’t work well. In any situation I’ve dealt with in Florida when it came to that.. it was a fucking crap shoot. Most are just kids looking to survive… but there are those few.. those few that really are hard ass killers. But crying seemingly always lead to a shooting, even if no one was hurt. Like the gun shots are going to call them down..

When people pull a gun, and you go “come on dude” they already know you have the biggest set of proverbial balls… the guy who sold the gun was probably jealous you didn’t piss yourself like he would have.

Years ago I made the mistake of private selling a rifle to “some guy” I met through a buddy. Turns out he was some connected Russian kid with the nickname “The Kicker”. Bought my gun, same day he took said gun to a guy that owed him cash(less than the gun cost) he proceeded to shoot the rifle into the ceiling of the house, then stabbed the dude in the chest. Took his money and left. Left the fucking gun too… that was the shittiest thing to be connected to when you’re in the service and took a friends advice on who to sell a gun to. I trusted him, and never should have been able to legally sell that gun just because “we did a bill of sale”. I fucked up. Dude would have gotten stabbed regardless, but atleast he wouldn’t have used my gun to possibly harm someone. Haven’t private sold a gun to anyone except immediate family since. And don’t think a “bill of sale” means shit law or not.. fucking police made my life hell too. Though for a very short time, because once that napkin with signatures hit the lawyers desk it stopped. And honestly I should have gotten in trouble for selling it to that man.

This movie was good, will it win anything crazy..? No. But it did it’s job with a great little bit of entertainment, and I’m sure I’ll enjoy this movie, even if it’s not as good as the first. Mainly because I enjoy seeing Bautista on screen, even if it’s not his “ideal role” it doesn’t feel like he ever just “fucks off and phones it in” like say.. Edward Norton in Italian Job…

Edit. Kindergarten Cop is probably one of his best movies from that time frame. I love that movie and the wild ass crazy tonal shift the movie takes in just 15 minutes.

I think he meant it less like “I don’t want funny roles” and more like “I feel Drax is a character way too close to the standard wrestling character everyone wants me to play” and he probably wants more “heart” in his roles… Fan of the MCU or not, a superhero movie isn’t exactly what you think of when you think “serious”. And that’s not to say they can’t be, but I think an actor who basically ‘launched’(and yes I know it’s not what started or solidified his career but it is one of his biggest roles of it this far) with that character might not want to feel like “RDJ and Tony Stark” his whole career.

I’d be more worried for the possibility of the connections between Aryan/Nazi/Nationalist Groups in America with ties outside looking to test local police response to “active shooters” to watch for response time and angles of approach. With all the shit that’s been brewing and connections to US terrorist cells and international Aryan and Nazi orgs outside the US(they found connections to the people who planned that Germany thing iirc to people in the US), I’d honestly be more worried if it was connected to people like that.. MTG is talking about the fucking South “rising again” sooo. Probably not the case but it’s something that nitpicks at my head.

They didn’t every year. They specifically brought up the implication of a possible outbreak in the future and how it may impact the economy. Trump disbanded it the minute he got into office because it had Obama attached to it… it was like one of his main things he did that caused Covid to be(more of)an issue. People have been fearing an upcoming possibility of a recession since around 2018 dude. It’s not some new thing it’s just something that actually came about because we had a damn pandemic, crazy government spending to try and fight fake election bullshit, numerous issues with other countries… we just had a banner fucking “year” these past 2-3 to really send us down this path extra hard.

Scranton cops blow. Had my car legitimately robbed by a police officer because it was parked at my house, and “teens drink in the woods near this house, so we went in your car and took your stuff out to make sure it wasn’t full of beer”. I was fucking 28 at and not a single fucking teen has ever partied at my damn woods because they get chased the fuck out. But they took shit out of my car I didn’t get back for 5 months because it was, and I quoted the fucking cops, evidence… winter jackets, an empty locked and pulled apart shotgun(to scare bears off from the chicken coop when I get home, the noise keeps them away for a good week) and tried to hit me with illegal weapons charge… the lawyer got my shit back and got it stopped, but the police still come by my house and harass my shit.

Just because a country might not be “superior” in an industry, doesn’t make them any less of a possible security issue… if they know how to use what tech they have and can still inflict the damage they do(can do).
