More NIMBY's who solution is "out of site out of mind", and not contributing any solutions to actually help end the problem. Only thing good that 7-11 actually did was declare bankruptcy in 1990, too bad it didn't end them altogether with bullsh*t like this...

Considering the geo political tensions the USA is making, the best thing they can do is create a sister plant for production of these new chips to mainland USA, otherwise it may be a moot point now that China is pushing for a faster and earlier reunification with Taiwan well before the original 2050 deadline. Can't say I have a good feeling about Taiwan's future, hope for the best but expect the worst, as they say.

Reply to A new lithium-air battery design promises unprecedented energy density | A potentially transformative technology for electrifying transportation by chrisdh79
There are a couple of good technologies to help with transportation and EV style vehicles. The vanadium redox battery for one, and the newer aluminum ion battery. I think the biggest problem facing the EV industry is the fact that companies make it incredibly difficult to replace the existing batteries with new ones. Like new laws facing cell phones in the EU, EV car manufacturers need to make the batteries more easy to replace and recycle.
