Our land is posted and I can assure you we're not rich out of staters, but we would like to be able to actually walk around in our woods without fear of being shot. There's LOADS of land near here open to hunting, my little bit of space doesn't have to be open to everyone.

I'd like to gently suggest you look up "welcoming and affirming" churches. Not all christians are bigots. I understand your stance, and I get that there's a lot of toxicity in christianity these days, but it doesn't have to be that way.

Obviously it's your choice to avoid any and all businesses that refer to religion if that's your preference. But you're painting with a broad brush and it might not be appropriate all the time.

Sweet Clover Market in Essex has a freezer with "exotic" meats - I've purchased elk & venison there in the past. You might want to give them a call first as it's kind of hit or miss.

You're right, and I struggle with this issue. I don't want them living in my head rent-free, but I also don't want them running the government and destroying our democracy. It's almost impossible to engage in good faith, and stooping to their level isn't generally constructive. I'm not sure what needs to be done, but I guess I need to stop being incredulous that people actually believe their propaganda and find a way to negate their influence in whatever small ways are available to me.

I hear ya. It's just that their propaganda machine is so good at twisting up grievances and using it to justify their shitty behavior, I'd rather not give them extra fuel for their hatred over something as minor as too many campaign signs.

I suppose it could be argued I need to stop being "reasonable" when dealing with fascists. It's hard to fight this shit in good faith.

When I was young, reckless, and broke, I drove on all season tires. I was super cautious and still needed to get pulled out of the roadside ditches a few times. If you can afford it, I highly recommend snow tires. Especially on a shiny new car you probably don't want to get all dented up your first season.
