I've known many people who work for printing businesses. Either magazines or books, or even just paper manufacturing. They all end up having surgeries, and it's like some badge of honor for them. Like they brag about being the idiot that sacrifices themselves to be the "hard worker". Like no, you are the assholes telling the bosses that it's okay to be treated like garbage.

*soviet era

Communism may not be perfect, but it's also never really had a chance to prove itself.

Competition against capitalism and being ran by the soviets is not a representation of communism. Frankly all systems end up being ran by the same assholes doing the same things, just under different names and laws.

From the article.

After serving time for a 1995 burglary conviction, Rogers had been out on parole since 2004. His parole ended in June 2020

25 years of not being able to vote because of burglary. A crime that involves theft without the presence of the owner of the property. As in you didn't harm a person to steal from them. Wrong, sure, but not being able to vote for a quarter century?

Just because OP used the word record, instead of currently waiting for an insanely long parole to end doesn't mean they were misleading.
