I like that theory except it was only God and Amara in the beginning and he wasn’t corrupted then, so maybe if we go by your theory it’s because she was trapped for so long that hatred and bitterness she had rubbed off on him?

Nah, while season 1 and 4 are the best, season 2 is still very close, and all of the seasons are fantastic….having said that I didn’t like season 2 the first time I watched but after rewatching the series a million times I really like season 2 now
