It’s also the start of spring so I think even though it was a mild winter everyone wants to get out of the house and seeing the trees change is pretty. Also a lot of the events are really fun I had a blast at the kite festival with a picnic further down the mall and didn’t have to deal with any crowds, but still saw kites. Dacha and metro bar yappy hours are something I’m looking forward to. They usually get some fun bands at petalpalooza. I guess I also associate it with the beginning of outdoor events for the spring/summer.

Un je nais se quoi - it’s far from where I live so I only get to go on match days, but their pistachio croissant is the stuff of dreams.

If you plan to go to any Irish pub this Saturday be aware there is a massive rugby match between Ireland and England starting at 1 pm which is make or break Ireland as France will likely demolish Wales and get the bonus point. This is going to lead to even more crowds at that time outside of the normal St. Patrick’s day.

DC record fair is going on Sunday. It’s free entry but you need a ticket in advance.
