Must be why the FHWA regards them as a proven safety countermeasure.

Fingers crossed that we'll get traffic enforcement cameras sooner rather than later.

There's also a garage you can access on the left right before the island splits South Main if you're travelling north. I find it's easier than riding around looking for an on-street spot.

There were some news stories a year or so ago about it. There were also plans to get rid of the traffic signals but I think residents were against it.

I don’t get it. Is one of the heads supposed to be Joe Biden? Is this what’s inside Biden’s head? I’m not sure the artist had a clear vision and may want to try another medium.

This is correct; if you follow the original post the person who made the graph stated that other states have income from tolls, other service fees, federal money, etc. which aren’t reflected in the graph.

We haven’t paid gas tax in a long time. I’d be fine with the state saving money by not doing maintenance like plowing

Get a bike rack for the back of your car. People tend to give more space if you have a bunch of metal poles sticking out the back.

I’ve lived car-light in the Hartford area for the last decade. Things are sadly car-centric, but the bus system goes where I need to go and bicycles make it a lot easier.

With luck gas prices will rise again. There's also the CHEAPR rebates and, depending on where you go, you may have opportunities to charge for free. Of course, bicycles remain cheaper and infinitely more efficient.

Heck, growing up in Berlin I was just in trouble if I wasn’t back before dinner without notice. I’m not sure my parents knew where I was on most days, although they probably could have found out with a few phone calls.
