The media really needs to do a better job with their narratives on vehicle crashes. A ādriverā of a pickup truck crashed into the restaurant. Removing the human agency disassociates the individual from the event.

If your manager wants to do it again only over the phone, Vermont is a one party consent state for recording so record it.

Reply to comment by fins4ever in Another good article on NH Gerrymandering - I think all states should have independent commissions, not sure why some (like the Guv) are so opposed to it. by AMC4x4
It can be done, but the state constitution needs to empower it. My last state has a true bi-partisan districting commission made up of 6 people, 2 appointed from each of the state majority and minority parties in the house and senate, and 1 appointed by each party state chair. It always yields 3 GOP and 3 Dems and prevents any serious gerrymandering. Only reason it's like this is because it's in the state constitution and the GOP supermajority hasn't tried amending it....yet.

Iād imagine alcohol regulations already on the books contributes to the biggest differences. The two products are also inherently different in their supply chains and distribution.
This is kinda getting into the weeds. The fact that NH is the only state in the northeast that still bans recreational cannabis despite overwhelming popular support shows thereās something wrong with leadership in Concord.

I donāt think anyone is advocating for it becoming an unreasonable tax revenue stream. I see no issues with regulating and taxing cannabis like alcohol.

It's a completely new market with gray areas and pipeline variances, churn is to be expected. And while some businesses might fail, others are flourishing. Smells like capitalism to me, no?
FWIW, it looked like the comment I replied to was referring to tax revenue, not business revenue, but my link still applies either way since they're inextricably linked.

Yeah always harder to remediate, but itās where the whole country is. Honestly, the most difficult thing isnāt the ground work. Itās the initiative and vision, political will, and willingness to push back against car-centric design so many people are just accustomed to.

America wasnāt designed exclusively for cars until the 50ās. It happened because of car manufacturer/political corruption, suburban white flight, racism, the FHA of ā56 and carbrains like Robert Moses. Some states and cities have realized what a colossal fuckup that was and began investing in pedestrian and cycling infrastructure and reducing car dominance decades ago. Some have begun more recently. New Hampshire hasnāt gotten the memo at all.
