Lol fuck off. You're the one who thinks minorities are too dumb and too poor to afford property tax increases.

We're talking about houses that 20 years ago, were worth 40k and had zero property tax, turning into teardown lots worth 160 or 200k with a property tax of $1000 a year. Less than $100 a month.
People complaining about not being able to afford property tax are full of it.

I wasn't asking you a question. I was stating what your choice will do.
For the record, anyone that has lived there "for decades" owns the house. Full stop. They would be thrilled for their property value to suddenly triple or quadruple, especially if the kids have moved on. It would allow them to sell a home they've likely had little money to renovate or repair for far above market price and move somewhere equally affordable as before while pocketing some change, if they want to.
Nobody buys a house, or lives in a house for decades, and wants to sell it for the same they paid 20 years ago.

You prefer we trap Black families into segregated little neighborhoods where property values never increase.

I've already been banned by reddit once for saying what thieves punishment should be. I'm not falling for this one again.

Personally, it's not the prison system that's broken. It's that after you get out the stigma is so high that you cannot live a normal life.
If someone's debt to society is paid, then it shouldn't be the business of employers or whatnot.

I'd rather pay for asylums and sanitarium than for wider interstates and suburb septa projects but that's just me.

I thought the whole structure of our justice system was that the state, with its unlimited resources and time, should be limited in how it handles cases.
That's why you can't be tried for the same crime twice, because the state can outwear and outlast any lawyer or defendents coffers.
It's also why prosecutors offices aren't supposed to go back on cases they already closed, because their resources are unlimited and they could push for higher sentences over and over again until it finally cracks, or they find a judge they like.
You can argue all you want about how Krasner sucks or how the cops sucks, but no government entity should be able to continously try any American citizen until they get the verdict they want.

"Minor infractions"
Did you read the article? It wasn't petty theft. He was breaking into homes, armed, and tying up the residents in their basement.
ON November 11, officers were called to a property on the 1300 block of North 15th Street after 11 residents were led to the basement and tied up by two armed suspects, police say. It is believed that the people inside, all between the ages of 20 and 22, were asleep with the armed suspects entered their residence, stole money, hones, credit and debit cards and a Lincoln MKZ that belonged to one of the residents.

I lost all empathy for criminals somewhere along the way. I don't think they can be "saved," no matter how much money you throw at the criminal justice system.

Think of all the homeless/poor people who are alone, who really only have Wawa as a place to get something to eat for cheap.
