Like said above, taking exit 23 off 93 and cutting through Winnipesaukee is probably your best bet to give you a mix of lake and mountains. If you take Bear Notch Rd the day you do the Kancamagus that’ll add some more scenery for you as well.

When you say hikes, are you talking mountains or more flat? The taller mountains will all have snow/ice on the top this time of year. If you’re trying to avoid that and don’t mind spending a little bit of money, flume gorge is amazing and is about 2 miles round trip. I’d highly recommend that, and then grabbing food/drinks in Lincoln. Tons of great places, my personal favorite being Woodstock Brewery.
