Yeah, it sucks. There are some big films I've missed out seeing on IMAX because of that.
Am thinking of how Mission Impossible and Oppenheimer are so close together and I just wish they share some days because it's ridiculous to have some of these films in IMAX for just 1 week.

He didn't seem that fond of it in that interview he was talking about his films.
And when he's already turning down the likes of Del Toro, Chazelle and others it's not likely he'll accept such big physical films at his age and when he's not working that mich anymore.

Very interesting. You'd think that's the one thing he'd have told Nolan to consider changing when he made him go rewrite for 6 months.

Listening to some forums, he seems more fond of his dramatic films.

I don't see it as well but then again I can say that about a few of his roles that he owned even before his mature looks.

Don't think he would do blockbusters again.

I never saw that adaptation but I thought his recent Rogue Heroes was a mess. Maybe he doesn't even have time to read that book😅
But am in awe of how he has like 6 projects every year and I admire how he wasn't beaten down by the film that flopped.

I thought he got very vocal about changing his characters in the 2000s but I recently heard Cameron say he brought his dad in and they wanted to add some ideas to the character and story.

Wow, I hadn't heard they were working together😃
When I heard PTA and Tarantino joke that Leo is quite intense about some scenes I knew he was still chasing him.
I thought for a bit that PTA cast his dad in Licorice Pizza because Leo turned down the film.

Maybe he might've been in consideration for the upcoming Spielberg film if he was younger assuming they ended on good terms.
But this would be the 3rd role that Bradley Cooper has taken instead of him after he couldn't do Nightmare Alley and Licorice Pizza.

And from then onwards he was very demanding of directors, maybe that's why he rarely works with some again.

Reply to Best Actors in History: the ones who went to Acting School versus the ones who didn’t. What list do you prefer? by Dry_Western_2342
Both groups learnt a lot from watching films as well and I've liked many of them.
But there's just something impressive about the likes of Denzel, Hopkins and Olivier in the way they move in a scene and face other actors that you just know was cultivated on the stage in acting school and in theater.

I think he and other filmmakers have paid homage to some scenes from it.
Gould was so good around that time. So underrated.

That's why I don't try to overanalyze the films I like. I have the same reaction to Altman films. He's a major inspiration for PTA.

Love those 2 but Altman is the one who has influenced some of PTA's films a lot and is probably closest to that feeling.

Yeah, even after hearing about Kerry Washington's experience on Django, I always don't think some of those violence scenes especially against children and in lower budget films are that comfortable to film.

As much as I like how I get to see these films much earlier at home because of this, am disappointed when it affects the box office of some of my favorites.
