I’m all for it, but it’s easier said than done. Investing in community vegetable gardens or community orchards, or berry patches is a much better and more feasible option than having apple trees as street trees.

As someone who actually knows a small amount about boats; it’s worth pointing out that removing this is no easy task. This isn’t a leaky jonboat, you can’t just bail the water and cruise it back to the dock. You’re looking at hauling it to a boat launch with a much larger boat then getting a serious crane to lift it out of the water and onto a trailer to haul it to a dump. Alternatively, if the hull is good, you could try raising it, and clearing the bilge. At that point, it’d be much easier to tow to a launch and get on a trailer.

With that being said, it’s no wonder no one wants to deal with this.

We adopted our dog from CYP about a year ago. We had a great experience. It’s worth saying though, they are much more easy going (blasé, maybe?) then the other rescues around. That worked fine for us, but may not for everyone.
