Tons of lookout points. Most well known is Mount Washington. Looks right over the point. Tons of photography on this subreddit. Check out some of their views as well. I personally love a nice stroll around Highland Park Reservoir. Schenley Park also has some beautiful overlooks on to Oakland with fall foliage.

Peak colors this week and last. St Mary Catholic Cemetery looked like it was on fire when I was driving yesterday. Leaves are now starting to really fall.
One of the most beautiful Falls I’ve had here in Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh lifers agreed with me. Usually we go from Summer to Winter with no colors.
If you’re leaving tomorrow, you’ll be catching the second half of the peak. Some trees might not be as full but the colors are still there.

Exactly. Such a shame. In a perfect world, politics would be set aside and a physician should care about the well being of his colleagues, even if in opposition. It’d actually work Oz’s his favor if he showed concern instead of mocking (even if by proxy).

Tazza D’Oro in Highland Park and if you don’t like their selection of food, there is Food Glorious Food and Bryant St Market right around the corner. All are delicious!!!!

Oz will likely pressure him. Rapid fire responses and maybe bring something up waaaay out of left field to catch him off guard. He doesn’t need to harp on Fetterman having an actual stroke. He will aim to ruin the flow Fetterman will spend days perfecting before the debate. As a cardiovascular surgeon/physician, he knows what the stages of recovery from a stroke look like and will expose this disability. Loss of the ability to act and think quickly despite preservation of the ability to complete complex decisions and thoughts will be what Fettermans functionality boils down to and maybe the debate. Fetterman will try to talk issues. Oz will likely deflect as he has no clue what the real issues are in PA. I don’t think we need more than one debate with these guys.

Community Land Trusts. Community takes back the property/land. Prevents outside flips and housing market manipulation. Lots of these projects take years and years. Permits are infinite. Not sure how land trusts work with regard to funding but it did South Baltimore a lot of good. Doesn’t look like the same place. The city isn’t going to do anything. Community and neighbors have to put in the work. Always been that way. Neighborhoods… everyone knows everyone. Takes one leader with heart to make a difference.

It’s a pandering piece suggesting Moore, like us, has fell victim to DPW collections oversight. In a tone deaf attempt to boost his campaign, he wants us to know that he paid the $20k debt in good faith.

Agreed. Property taxes for this house would be $40k annually but here is a story about a delinquent $20k water bill. For what? Why not just single out the DPW? Why make it out to be a politician is just like “one of us”? Newsflash, the top 1% is not like one of us and he’s no hero for this BS.

Mercy ED is busy busy. You will get a lot of experience. Working for UPMC is working for UPMC. You will be a cog and many aspects of your employee contract will be non negotiable. Your pay might be lower than average for the area. You can try to negotiate but usually they won’t budge. I know some of the staff and Mercy ED has some great people to work with and for but it’s still UPMC. Safety and parking should be no problem. You’re right up against the Blvd and garage is attached to the hospital. Never had problems with safety.
If West Penn isn’t hiring, I’d say go for it. It’s still UPMC though. I’d rather work at Mercy than Presby ED so there’s that. All hospitals need the staff, especially nursing.
