I'd just kill that dog before it tears up a kid. I love animals, I really do but if your dog has shown that it is dangerous and is now mauling my dog I am going to kick it to pieces or shoot it.

Legally you good, that said patching a nail hole is no biggie, you don't even need to take it to the shop. Just grab a kit from NAPA or whatever, only takes a few minutes.

Come now, the GOP has always pandered to that poorly educated, over worked and underpaid rural base. That is how they have been relevant all these years.

Lies work great on the republican base because if it is something they want to be true it is, even when the actual truth gets in the way they won't back down.

Ubers business model is to exploit people not making enough where they are at. You should watch "The Gig is Up" sometime, you might not be so quick to carry water for them if you were aware of how shitty they treat the "contractors".

Ya, nothing to see here, no clear cut exploitation or anything... I mean they gave the drivers the choice of when to have there wages stolen and be denied overtime.

That's assuming it ever really did. At its foundation the societal elements required as scaffolding for a "free market" ensure that you will never have a level playing field, that is required to have that free market. Adam Smith himself pointed out that even with the "invisible hand" driving things the crown, state or whatever would always pick winners and losers.

They tried the same shit in Cali. I swear this runaway capitalism is just fucking insane, they will try to maximize their profit at the cost of anything, environment, workers, customers, clients... Nothing is off the list of shit to fuck with. I mean they are a glorified App service, the drivers take all the risks put all the wear and tear on their vehicles and get abused by drunk fuckwits. Trying to deny them employee protection by calling them "contractors" when they are clearly in the business of giving folks rides is peak shady as well.

I mean in sales maybe people will buy lobsters instead of snow crab. Environmentally not directly, but it is for sure a warning of what could happen. It's a pretty delicate balance for the sea insects. In theory it should stay cold enough down there due to the gulf currents and the bay of fundi ones that we have quite awhile before it goes tits up. The problem is we have the gulf slowing (its at its lowest rate on record) so it is going to stall and crawl over our gulf and its mostly shit warm water. The water coming out of the bay being more freshwater (which adds to warmth) and destabilizes the saline content, which makes it warmer along with a global "death" of micro organisms that act as food and change the density of the sea itself, again making it warmer. All these things combine to be the reason our gulf is warming faster than any other ocean bodies right now. Right before Connecticut's lobstering crashed they had record hauls, then boom, shit is done, whatever you manage to catch comes up dead in the trap.

I suspect anyone with an R is going to be in a bad way, the Penguin even more so as we already dealt with his shit for 8 years and no one who wasn't going to vote for him anyway believes a single thing he says at this point. I think that I am like a lot of Mainers and am anti-political and generally unimpressed with anyone we get to vote for. However, I will vote dem simply because of harm reduction.
I mean right off the top of my head the hate on LGBQT and the rebirth of blood libel slander. The hating for immigrants and using them as political props. They got rid of ROE, something I didn't think would ever fucking happen as it had been a right to body autonomy for half a century and using that same SCOTUS to make war on unions. Now they are openly talking about aiming their sights at social security and medicare and I believe that they would absolutely fuck over all those elderly folks who need that shit and paid into it their whole lives. I am really at the point where I think anyone voting for them has to be either dumb as a fucking stump or just full of fucking hate and kind of evil.
And don't get me started on this prosperity gospel bullshit Christianity they push, while not a devout Christian or anything having been raise that way as child it turns my stomach to see politicians and leaders do the exact opposite of what Christ taught get supported because they drag around a bible and a cross.

I was describing you, if you found it to be insulting maybe you should reflect on that. As for respecting my opinion, do what you want, but I have long since given up on reaching most people who are so committed to whatever it is they decided to believe in that they lack the strength to challenge their own beliefs regardless of the information they are presented with.
I firmly believe that if you use your position of power to make a single dollar by violating your oath and the trust of those you represent that you should not be in office. As you came out saying that they have no choice but to do this and survive, despite how much better off they are than 90% of Americans, to defend that corruption? Ya, with as deep as you are in that bubble I know I will never be able to pop it. I mean even with the 16k we pay our reps (it varies by state) as they work less than half a year they are still above the median, but lets not let that get in the way of some kind of clear repetition of Dan Crenshaw's talking points to defend his millions he made.

As they happen, the trade doesn't count until the information has been released; should also works for when you release.
You are right, it would lead to rapid and nonsensical fluctuations in the market, but it would in turn force them to get off their asses and do something about it as all the trusts and big players continued to take it in the teeth because Nancy or whoever let her husband know the way the wind was blowing or even used her position of power to fan that shit in one direction or the other.

The problem now is that we have way to much hierarchy and far to little accountability. Those we elect to represent us tend to just represent whatever will make them the most money to get back in office so they can continue to profit off that position of trust.

I ditched all my stocks decades ago, that shit more rigged than a casino.
Saying "Government pay sucks" considering the current state of economic affairs makes you sound both privileged and completely out of fucking touch. Even if you ignore the fact that they still get a pension saying that people who get paid 5 and a half times the median income in our country get a free pass on corruption because that is how you get good people is peak fuckwit.
I swear the number of people who are content to be ruled and allow those in power to have their own set of laws is why we are in such a bad way. Defending their ability to engage in insider trades, and even own stocks for company they make decisions on is an ethical nightmare, that you can't see that shit is speaks to how effective propaganda is on some folks gullibility. But hey, some folks cool with people taking classified documents home from work with them, so I guess I should not be surprised anymore.
