Hmm. I was thinking the same thing to be honest.
Setting the example really goes a long way after all. But dishonesty and taking advantage of others is definitely not Godly.

I read your comment and appreciate your observations for sure. But to be clear, is this an area of expertise for you? Because I also saw a comment from a person who does this as their work professionally.

That's the thing. This doesn't seem to be well thought out. From the looks of it it appears to be holding onto the land for the sake of holding on to the land.
The last thing that neighborhood needs is even MORE concrete. Fix the houses up sell them and be done with it.

Yes. How often would it even be used? From a practical sense it's pretty clear that these houses need to be rebuilt.
I do wonder why they were given to the church in the first place?

I agree with you absolutely especially when it's not for the public to use.
Fix up the houses (somebody) and use them for people to live in.

I don't even live in DC anymore but if I did come there to hang out with friends I don't expect them to bring me back home to Baltimore.
I can catch the Marc train home or the Flixxx bus and be good to go. Or I can spend the night at my mom's house or my cousins house.

Oh I'm sure of it. People like that know who to mess with and who to leave alone. I'm curious about how many black men SissyGrace has messed with in the past five years?

Yeah that is really, really messed up. So one chicken gives you comfort from eating it and the other from you keeping it with you every where you go. I wonder if she takes this chicken to work with her or if she even has a job at all.
What if she goes on a date or goes to school.

Very much so. Plus it's illegal to keep chickens in DC anyway

It would be nice if everyone would stop giving SissyGrace money altogether. They are enabling this continuous harassment of the public and it's a real shame this is being tolerated at all.
Notice the neighborhoods that have sightings, bet that mess wouldn't fly in Congress Heights or Anacostia.

Which is where "specially trained" comes to play. Dogs are very intelligent and perfectly capable of being trained to do what they need to do. They have been doing so for thousands of years so it's reasonable that they can continue to do so now.
Think about it....There are dogs that are used in hunting of other animals. Along the way, they could get bitten by a poisonous snake, they could get injured or even killed by the animal that's being hunted.
So the possibility of danger to them is understood and accounted for. They have a purpose and are able to accomplish it.

What kills me is that people don't just get dogs that are specially trained to kill rats and then let them do what they do and kill the doggone rats

False. Folks that are disabled or elderly can use Metro Access. That's what that service is for. It's not like these people are left stranded with no way to get where they need to go at all.
I mentioned that in my first message to you. But for whatever reason you missed that completely.
Anyway I'm out of troll food so take care.

Duh because it's painfully obvious that there is no "one size fits all" as people have different circumstances.
It's not about being "ablest" either. Why do I say that? Because a number of people who I know that are elderly or disabled do the very things I mentioned. (Not bikes as they simply can't do it as much as they would like to).

I gave you transportation options that are outside of the box that people normally think about.
If they don't fit your particular circumstance for whatever reason then they simply don't and that's just fine.
Never did I say that EVERYONE can do them. But I venture to say that MOST probably could.
I don't know I only know a few places I'll be willing at one time
Again whoever is unable to do them then they would know that my post wasn't directed at them so you coming at me with snark is completely and totally uneccesary.

I have nothing but respect for them from a religious standpoint. My contention is merely where it comes to the houses and what they plan to do with them.
Why did they acquire the homes in the first place and did they originally have an intent to rehab them?
