The road-rule in Mexico is, don't wave your half-empty tequila bottle at police you encounter. They'll only want a share. 8-)

Is it only an urban legend, that New York visitors to Florida took baby gators home as vacation souvenirs and, after the novelty wore off, flushed them down toilets, leading to a population in the city's sewers of hungry gators that feasted on homeless refugees? One close to me worked underground there but never mentioned gators. Hmmm...

If the Space Brothers were humanity's friends, they would likely have been up-front about it by now. Alas, since UFO sightings seem correlated with military bases, any lights in the sky are likely we humans. We has met the aliens, and them is us.

Fortunately, most street traffic in San Francisco's business district could not move fast, so I almost always had a survivable margin. And I rode sidewalks when prudent. It worked!

Way back when, I was a commercial bike courier in San Francisco, and I had to quickly but carefully dodge many vehicles occupying what few bike lanes existed downtown then. Is someone inside? Slap a window. Are pedestrians absent? Ride the sidewalk. I was only endangered once, as a car door opened right in front of me. Brake fast, hey?

'Liberal' means 'freed'. The opposite of 'liberal' is not 'conservative' but 'enslaved'. Captured slave-minds can be fed all sorts of sh!te, and swallow it entirely. Then there's a truism: The conservative refuses to acknowledge a New Moon out of respect for that venerable institution, the Old Moon. ;)

I worked for a co-op ambulance service near Joshua Tree NP and regularly hauled-out incautious folks, both clueless tourists, and military guys with delusions of immortality. We always brought-em out alive, at least on my shifts -- I never lost any. Not even Europeans.

Fornication upon an altar is likely more comfortable than focking whilst upright on a cross. Just an observation. ;)

Aren't beds more comfortable than altars? Asking for a friend. ;)

That depends on how much JD arrives on SCOTUS justices' front porches. From anonymous donors, of course. I recall certain jurisdictions where a favorable property assessment could be bought with a case of spirits. Just an anonymous donation, of course.

Back in the day, we blamed Western heroin shortages on Keith Richards, not confiscations. Why isn't someone wealthy snorting all that coke? (Don't mention Musk.)

I haven't spent much time in Canadian jails (not lately, anyway) and I'm not familiar with applicable Canadian laws -- but in what jurisdiction is hospitality staff responsible for transporting an evicted customer off-site, to their home or wherever?
