I used to do NERO back in the day, so much fun. I’m not sure the local chapter survived COVID. Anyway, if you can get some interest, I’d give it a shot. There are plenty of good locations for running events out in the suburbs.

This. See how it goes, then seek input after the trial period. I'd also consider just limiting it to a single post per event.
The other alternative is to do a sticky post for each week, and let all event promoters post within that as comments.

FWIW, I think best practice is to provide details of how/when the photo was taken including the relevant gear (in a comment). Nice shot. Very nice.

It’s because police spending is up, and they want a results driven narrative

Funny, here I was thinking I was advocating against unreasonable fines that will disproportionately bankrupt poor individuals. You want index the fine so it is 2.5% of net income, I’m all for it. People making a mil net can pay $25k.

This guy said 10k. So that would be a 30k salary.

Taking what could be a third of someone’s income for running a light is just stupid.

$5000 is too high unless you adjust for income, but loss of license for a month sounds right.

Perhaps more important, from a policy standpoint, this phenomenon is a huge contributor to health care costs.

Small triangle is going to be landscaped greenspace (see page 45) https://www.cambridgema.gov/-/media/Files/CDD/Transportation/Projects/obrienhwy/finaldesignplans.pdf
I don't think any structure has been approved for the rest of the site where the old station sat. I think originally it was going to be retail. It's in private hands now, so you'd think there is no way it would remain greenspace (unless Cambridge purchases the land back), but all I see is a huge mound of dirt being built up there.

By location: Alden & Harlow (Harvard Square), Puritan and Co. (Inman Square), Lamplighter (Cambridge Crossing/North Point), and State Park (Kendall). Alden & Harlow is probably the best all around in terms of quality and places to walk around and see after differ. State Park is southern food, it's also right next to a movie theater.

Very interesting article. Part of me wonders how much Cambridge is an outlier in our housing success (relatively speaking of course) because it has an insane tax base relative to population size.
