Rats and mice are very intelligent and a pig is considered more intelligent than cats or dogs. We don't have to kill farmed animals to eat and for most of human history meat was far less frequent for the vast majority of people. Certainly not a daily indulgence.

Teaching is harder than doing the work though in many applications. If AI can teach any subject it can do any subject. So it's the start of handing the torch to AI. The future belongs to AGI.
