I've been tipping. But a dollar tip always feels shitty to me. And I guess everyone else is saying they get regular wages and isn't based off tips

I think it may seem easy but standing for most of the time during the shift especially in shitty weather does seem a little hard

This makes sense. As out of NJ it is self service and we arent expecting people to fill up our gas. 2% to 40% is a big difference. May I ask if you guys split the tips or do you keep it to yourself?

The reason I tipped the gas station workers is because I thought their main income would be from tips. But yea if it's not even common I guess I wouldn't next time
