What aspects of their criteria would rank favorably only from an asset management perspective to the point that they aren’t relevant on a real-world level?

Here's a further explanation of how they rank cities: https://www.schroders.com/en/schrodersglobalcities/blog/global-cities-index/
I don't think it's bias so much as the methodologies used, but I could be wrong. For example, Shenzen has a 28 out of 30 "environmental" rating.
The interactive globe tool is pretty cool. The data gets pretty granular but it takes some clickthroughs. It's probably what I should've shared in the first place.

I don't think you are familiar with Schroders. Here is some more granular information on how they compiled the index, it's pretty interesting: https://www.schroders.com/en/schrodersglobalcities/blog/global-cities-index/

If it was, the only city that would've been omitted is Chicago. Certainly didn't take long for a negative comment though.
The point in sharing this is to show where we stack up against other cities globally, and to remind people that there is a lot of good about living here.

Center City is generally safe. I'd recommend Rittenhouse Square, Logan Square, Fitler Square, Old City, Washington Square West, and Grad Hospital as the best areas.

Reply to comment by PhillyPanda in Pennsylvania No. 2 most popular state to travel to, says study by ColdJay64
Haha I’m not sure what that random sentence contradicting the rest of the article is doing at the end. Maybe they meant traveled from? Which would also seem wrong.
ColdJay64 OP t1_ja3cu1i wrote
“The fruit of the research bequeath upon Pennsylvania the number two overall ranking, losing only to New York. Hawaii took home the bronze.
“Featuring 61 countries’ top five, Pennsylvania is officially the second most popular state,” reads the study itself. “It’s topped the list in 28 countries, including Germany, France, Sweden, and Israel, and second in 16 countries, including the UAE, Qatar, South Africa, and the U.K.”

Reply to Street Parkers who brought beautiful new cars… are you happy with you purchase? by aranhalaranja
You can’t street park a car in a city without dents or scrapes happening here and there. It’s just not possible. If you get a new car, you’ll just have to accept this and remember that no one is scrutinizing your car even 1% as much as you are.
Remember, no car will look better the more it is used. You just have to enjoy having a new one to drive around :)

Reported by USA Today on the 20th:
“Mass shootings in 2023 outpace 2022. There have been 82 mass shootings this year, compared to 59 at the same time last year.”
That’s a pretty significant increase, our country is not well.

IMO part of it is the media, this is one of the many effects of sensational and over-reporting of crime - people get the impression that they can come into the city and get away with it.

No problem. What i do know about Marconi Plaza is that it's safe and has nice houses. There is also a subway stop at Broad and Oregon that you can quickly take into Center City.
