Massachusetts was one of the first states to legislate Tenant's Rights laws, so I strongly suggest you get on the internet and find a TR lawyer. Most of them are either low cost or free. What you and your roommate are going through is specifically illegal and there are legal remedies to your situation.

Expecting municipalities to correct human behavior - yes, human behavior, because that's what attracts rats - is a foolish and costly endeavor. Stop being lazy, stupid, wasteful, assholes and the rats will decrease their population on their own. We have rats due to filthy human behavior. Change that and the problem will significantly decrease.

Nah. Just old and vulnerable health. Had to take severe precautions. Now I'm bored and don't give a shit if my life depends on it anymore. Ironic thing, I always said we could lose to the microbes, then covid and all its mutations came along. Thought I'd be dead by now, so I think I just might live a bit first.

I'm fully aware of how respiratory diseases spread and, for nearly 3 years, I've taken all the proper precautions. I'm someone who gets a flu shot every year. My point being, I don't think I can last much longer not going to movie theaters, museums, and the like. If I don't get out amongst the living, what's the point in waking up? I may be an introvert, but I'm not an isolationist, so I'm ready to go out and take a chance before I go mad.

I used to post photos on a now defunct site, but I always put a "watermark" on them. Too much of a hassle to copyright like a professional would, but I'd make it difficult for some lazy skeeve who didn't want to put in the work.

Now, compare this plea to pick up disease-spreading dog shit from public walk ways with the Japanese habit of cleaning up publicly used areas. I'm getting too old to be hopscotching around feces every time I go for a walk. And, if you are a responsible owner who picks up, go one step further and don't toss it in some random trash can that you don't own.
