Hi there. Your post would be better asked in our Simple Questions thread. It helps us keep the main subreddit focused around broader discussion rather topics which only apply to an individual. Thank you!

have you tried other local libraries you might be able to become a member of? have you tried requesting that your library purchase a copy of the book/audiobook you want.

You are welcome to contact authors directly and ask them to send copies of their books to your wife for free. I will not, however, aid you in finding piracy sources.

Per Rule 3.6: No distribution or solicitation of pirated books.
We aren't telling you not to discuss piracy (it is an important topic), but we do not allow anyone to share links and info on where to find pirated copies. This rule comes from no personal opinion of the mods' regarding piracy, but because /r/books is an open, community-driven forum and it is important for us to abide the wishes of the publishing industry.

The other issue is that your post does not have much for discussion besides being a good story. This is why other users are just recommending you other book titles, which makes your post a recommendation request.
You can make a post explaining why "Pop Goes the Weasel" by James Patterson is a great recommendation for D&D players.
