Agreed!! I think just one room having natural light is enough for most people! It could be the living room! I know for me, my bedroom doesn’t need natural light, I use the really thick light blocking curtains anyway.

People don’t want? Are you kidding??? A long skinny apartment is still an apartment, and it’s better than having roommates to some people. I promise you,, those spaces would be rented.

I completely agree! Longer units with maybe kitchens and bathrooms close to the interior and living rooms and bedrooms closer to the windows. They can also use the interior spaces for communal spaces like laundry, day care centers, gyms, small shops and stores etc. if they really wanted to make this work, they would. It takes some creativity and some time.

Y’all remember the days when we had transit Wi-Fi on the trains? Didn’t work everywhere but we all thought it would only get better with time. How wrong we were.

Yeh honestly if nyc really cared about culture, they could make it a city sport contest lol. With a mock-up train cart.

Yes but they also have a hold on the upper middle class NIMBYs who never usually take the subway or live right outside of the city, and those folks eat this crap up.

I really HATE NY Post and I wish there was a consensus to not read their hyper conservative drivel. They’re basically Fox News but worse in some ways because it’s like they create this shit out of thin air.
1st off NYers have been selling snacks on the subways since like forever. It goes through phases where it’s super common and then uncommon. At one point it was so many of them selling that when one left your cart, another one walked in almost IMMEDIATELY after. They even had a rule amongst each other to not sell in the same cart at the same time to avoid fights (I witnessed a few). And I much preferred them than the endless line if begging that usually occurred at the worst times like rush hour. Nothing worse than a packed train and a homeless person begging in a packed train.
2nd I’m highly uncomfortable in the usage of these individuals faces plastered across this article. It seems wrong somehow and I doubt they were told their pictures would end up being used this way. Another low from NYPost.

I’m confused at this supposed narrative. The fact breonna Taylor’s murderers are still free speaks to the fact that because these police officers are black is why Justice happened so quickly. Your memory maybe short but people have a list.

Yeh I was gonna say, most restaurants close early now. There are a few spots open late-24 hours in midtown and in other boroughs but you gotta kinda be in the know, to know where they are. They also tend to be niche places.

Highways as well. I’ve never in my life since living here which is 18 years, been on an unplowed highway in NYC. except maybe that one year when the city lost its mind over 3 inches of snow.

Lol no, the plows in NYC are usually driving around before it even starts to snow. Sometimes they just drive around dropping salt/sand/gravel on the streets in prep, then they start plowing once the snow gets heavy.
